The Meaning of Promise Rings

Show Your Commitment Through Promise Rings
For most, it is not always easy to make and keep promises. Whether it is a promise of romance and friendship, or a dedication to faith, it takes immense will power and conscientiousness to be able to sustain a vow. Moreover, it can also be difficult for the receivers of these promises to trust and rely onto such words, in fear that they may get their heart broken in the end. This is how the modern tradition of giving promise rings came to be. Oath takers prove their deep commitment to their vows either by giving or wearing the ring. Meanwhile, the beloved accept and wear the ring to show their trust that the giver will sustain the promises they have made.
Although it has merely risen to popularity in the recent times, the practice of giving promise bands actually dates back several hundred years. People who lived in 16th Century England exchanged rings that are engraved with romantic poems, called “posy rings.” Meanwhile, the Georgian and Victorian eras popularized Acrostic rings that spell out words in gemstones. Much earlier than these, evidence shows that women from second century BC wore rings to convey loyalty and fidelity.
There is a wide confusion with regard to the difference between engagement rings and promise rings. While the former are solely limited within the confines of romantic love, the latter can be given by lovers or friends, bequeathed by parents to their children, or worn by a woman or a man to signify purity. Engagement bands imply future marriage, while promise bands simply symbolize commitment in every sense of the word.
In the romantic sense, what a promise band symbolizes varies from one couple to the next. Generally, it represents love and devotion. Sometimes, it embodies the promise of a future engagement, albeit at an unspecified time. It can be an outside symbol for a committed relationship, with no immediate plans for marriage. In addition, it is commonly smaller and subtler than an engagement ring. While 18K and 14K gold or platinum might be apt for engagement and wedding bands, couples prefer 10K gold or sterling silver as an affordable and simpler choice for promise bands.
Whether it is to show love and devotion, long-term chastity, everlasting love and care for your child, or pledge to faith, Adam’s Jewelers has a wide selection of perfect promise rings for your needs.

What Is White Gold?

The Beauty of White Gold
White Gold jewelry – we have all seen it, we have heard all about it. At first glance, it may seem like your typical silver or platinum pieces, but it is actually so much more than that.
This is a type of gold which is an alloy of gold and at least one white metal. This metal is usually nickel, manganese, palladium, or a combination of these. Like various types of gold, such as yellow gold, the value and purity of this type of gold is measured in karats.
The properties of white gold depend on the kind of metal and the alloy proportions utilized. Since it can be combined with a wide range of white metals, this type of gold is flexible in terms of the pieces that can be crafted with it. For example, gold combined with white nickel are perfect in fashioning pins and rings because of their hardness and strength. Meanwhile gold-palladium alloys, which are soft and supple, could be made to set gemstones in. Commonly, white gold jewelry is created in 14K (58.3% pure gold) or 18K (75% pure gold). Gold is usually mixed with various metals to create an alloy which is stronger than pure gold. A pure 24K ring may sound better, but it is actually softer than a jewelry mixed with other metal. However, it is important to note that the common white gold alloy formulation consists of 90 wt.% gold and 10 wt.% nickel. To increase ductility, a fraction of copper is added to the equation.
The label “white gold” is commonly used to pertain to gold alloys with a whitish hue. As such, white encompasses a spectrum of colors that covers pale yellow to pale rose. Goldsmiths conceal these off-white tints through rhodium plating to create a resemblance to platinum, giving it a luxurious and tasteful look.
In purchasing jewelry pieces, particularly in picking engagement or wedding bands, most people would select platinum as their first choice. This is common since everybody desires that classy, yet elegantly simple aesthetics. However, as a rarer metal, platinum is significantly more expensive than gold. Moreover, white gold is easier and cheaper to maintain as it merely requires a simple recoating from time to time, unlike platinum which needs cleaning and polishing more frequently to stay smooth and shiny. Thus, to achieve that sophisticated look for a tighter budget, white gold is the way to go.

Latest Jewelry Trends

Keeping Up with the Latest Jewelry Trends this Summer
Like it or not, jewelry is an essential part of our daily outfit. Adorning the body with jewelry truly amplifies every woman’s elegance and beauty. While choosing each jewelry piece requires careful attention, how we style it is also vital in completing any look. As we update our wardrobe to prepare for this season’s fashion, let us make sure that we accessorize according to the latest jewelry trends as well.
Here are some of the latest jewelry trends to guide you in your next purchasing and styling decision.
- Layers, Baby
It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day. Chokers may have dominated the jewelry scene for the past seasons, but alas it has reached a point of exhaustion. The new trend is? Layered necklaces.
Keeping up with this fresh style is tricky as well. It may be successfully achieved by layering multiple strands from one main chain to create a tiered look. Another way to do it is to layer by complimenting various stones or minerals, wherein necklaces can be tied together by color, feel, and types of pendant. Moreover, factors such as the composition, shapes, and balance should also be considered in layering.
At the end of the day, do not be afraid to mix and match!
- Subtle and Simple
It is always fun and daring to go big and bold. However, subtle and simple sparkles have been creeping into the limelight lately. Once in a while, try to accessorize with ultra-thin chains paired with dainty stones. Subdued jewelry is not only easier to style, it is also comfortable. Since it is easy to wear and take off, it is perfect for your outdoor activities this summer.
- Bright Blings
If you have been keeping up to date with high fashion, one thing you might have noticed is the skyrocketing popularity of colored and bright gemstones. According to the “Jewellery Editor,” jewelry investors’ demand for colored minerals, such as colored diamonds and multi-colored gemstones, are steadily growing. From blue topaz, to green emerald, to lavender amethyst, bright jewelry pieces can give your ensemble the extra boost of playfulness it needs.
- As long as it’s long
Style trends may go from one end of extremities to another. With this, fashion’s choker fatigue resulted to the rise in popularity of navel-grazing necklaces. For this summer’s necklace trend, length is everything.
Long necklaces with bejeweled statement pendants have been dominating both runways and magazines since spring. This newly-established staple has proven its versatility when it comes to enhancing any outfit – whether it may be your favorite LBD or some causal jeans and shirt. To add drama, you can even pair it up with a V-neck shirt or tops with plunging necklines.
If you have been planning to invest on a piece of jewelry this summer, the long necklace is the accessory for you.
- Boho Beauty
The rise to popularity of the boho has been strong and steady this year. Ever since celebrities have flaunted their Coachella ensembles, there is no other way but up for this trend. What better time to follow the crowd and unleash your inner boho chic than this summer?
Boho is all about the free spirit of an individual. In clothes, this is reflected on lace with eccentric cuts, playful patterns, flowy pieces, and beaded crochet, among others. Nonetheless, everybody knows that accessorizing is a must in completing any boho ensemble. This is where bold and chunky necklaces, show-stopping rings, and feather pieces come in.
Summer has arrived and the boho trend does not seem to be going anywhere soon. There is plenty of time to catch up. Stick with the basics if you want to stay safe, but do not hesitate to play around with pieces to internalize that free-spirit vibe.
The latest jewelry trends may come and go, but one thing is for sure: no matter the season or demand, we guarantee that Adam’s Jewelers has the piece you are looking for.

Synthetic Diamonds vs Natural Diamonds

Can Synthetic Diamonds Be Better Than The Real Thing?
Adam’s Jewelers offers its customers only the highest quality diamonds, each one certified as 100 percent natural. But technology has brought us an alternative, synthetic diamonds are virtually impossible to tell from a natural diamond, and for a less expensive price. Does this sound too good to be true? You just might want to do some homework before deciding, even if you are on a budget.
First of all, it is easy to confuse synthetic diamonds with diamond simulants like cubic zirconium (CZ), moissanite, white sapphire, high leaded glass (rhinestones) or Yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG). While all of these may look like synthetic or natural diamonds in appearance, none of them are created solely out of carbon, the trait shared only by synthetic and natural diamonds. Once you have separated the simulants from synthetic diamonds, it’s a bit less cumbersome to compare it to a natural diamond. The first question then, is…how has science been able to create a gem that shares the identical chemical composition and physical properties as something that takes Mother Nature billions of years to produce? The most common method is via a process known as Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), which mimics the conditions under which natural diamonds are formed in nature. Carbon gasses are heated to extremely high temperatures until the molecules break apart and release carbon atoms. They then tumble down upon a diamond substrate and form layers that eventually emerge as a diamond that, to the naked eye, looks every bit like its natural counterpart.
So what’s all the fuss? If it’s so hard to tell the difference between the two…why pay the difference? Ultimately it will come down to individual preferences. Synthetic diamonds are beautiful, clear and tend to have fewer flaws than natural diamonds. Yet there are those who will always be a little hesitant about the prospect of buying a man-made gem, a great looking knock off with the same qualities and chemical composition of a natural gem, but in the end, still a knock off. Natural diamonds hold the allure that they are produced deep inside the earth and are unique in that they are created over a span of billions of years, and as such are made to last for several generations. They are a unique work of nature, a piece of art that hold the mysteries of earth’s formations from the days before man walked the planet. Call it the glamour, or romance factor, but there’s no disputing the natural diamond’s history sets it apart from its mass produced lab grown counterpart. Remember Adam is the King of Diamonds!

Types of Pearls

Pearl Education: Knowing the Different Types of Pearls
The gift of jewelry is one that is meant to be remembered for a lifetime. Whether it is from a friend, family member, or that special someone, it is to be remembered with significance and beauty. Pearls are often dubbed as a true treasure of the ocean. Of course, it wouldn’t be recognized as such an elegant and exquisite piece if it wasn’t for the intricate process that goes into a pearl’s natural development. The hard, lustrous and spherical mass is formed within the shell of a pearl oyster. The different ways in which the pearl is formed inside is what categorizes the different types of pearls.
Amongst the types of pearls, there is firstly the natural pearl. A natural pearl is formed when a parasite, grain of sand, or any other foreign object enters the body of an oyster, mussel or clam. It is then the job of the oyster to shield itself from potential danger so as a mechanism for defense, it will produce special fluid called nacre. The nacre will cover the tiny foreign body coat after coat to insure safety inside the shell. Once it’s fully done producing, a natural pearl is born. Unlike other gemstones or diamonds, pearls don’t need to be cut or polished as they are already born with luxurious sheen. Another type of pearl is referred to as a cultured pearl. Cultured pearls are made by humans. A tissue graft is inserted into the shell upon which a pearl will form. This is a relatively popular way to make pearls as they typically come from freshwater river mussels ranging from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico.
Alternatively, there are also subset types of pearls that are more so classified by appearance and not by make. The Akoya pearl is grown off the coast of Japan and is known for its polished, delicate look. The Akoya stands as the poster child of a pearl’s appearance seeing that it’s a classic and time-honored piece that truly sets the standard for what a beautiful pearl should appear as. Although the Akoya is usually the most common or frequently noticed, it is definitely not the only of its kind. South Sea Pearls, or “Rolls Royce of Pearls”, take on a gleam of shiny gold tones. As the largest saltwater pearls in the world, they hold a great deal of value and because of their large size, are commonly used at statement pieces of an outfit. Accompanying the South Sea’s signature piece, there is also the Tahitian pearl. As the most different, yet striking looking pearl, it takes on an iridescent rainbow of colors ranging from deep forest green to hues of glossy violet. The Tahitian pearl sets itself apart by virtue of its rarity, naturally dark tones and its exotic origin of French Polynesia.

Understanding Jewelry Making

The Art of Jewelry Making
Jewelry is not just a beautiful gift or lovely accessory; it is a complex art form that requires great skill and mastery. Although some jewel aficionados can indeed tell the difference between a princess-cut and cushion-cut diamond, there are far more complexities to understand that go into jewelry making. On the fore front, jewelry is an expression of love, appreciation, and gratitude. Everyone likes to receive jewels as a gift- it’s a sentiment of one’s true friendship. Of course, there is a reason jewelry has gained such worthwhile recognition over the centuries. Behind the scenes of the sheen, luxurious rock there is sophisticated and perplexing work that is done by jewelers to make sure their pieces come out flawlessly. Jewelry making consists of a whole unique list of particular words and terms that need to be adapted and utilized in order for customers to truly understand what the jewelers or jewel sales associates are talking about! - Crown – the top of a diamond
- Pave – a setting in which a number of stones are set together
- Pavilion – bottom of the stone placed under the girdle
- Girdle – outer edge of a cut stone
- Culet– bottom point of a diamond
After having a simple understanding of different characteristic of a diamond, it’s easier to distinguish and identify the different shapes of different diamond cuts that are relevant to jewelry making.

Diamond Engagement Rings

Traditional or Elegant Diamond Engagement Rings?
The gift of an engagement ring is an everlasting, time-honored classic that sets the tone of love and appreciation for that special someone. The history of this tradition can be dated all the way back to medieval times. Records show that the first diamond engagement rings were given in 1477. This tradition still holds its significance even to this day. It is a symbol that everlasting love can be cherished for a lifetime.
When it comes to finding the right ring for your partner one should never settle for anything less than the best. Diamond engagement rings are your best bet if one is looking to seriously “wow” their partner and have a gem that will truly last a lifetime. If the bride-to-be is on the more girly and feminine side then looking into a rose gold collection could be her perfect fit. Pink-hued golds are making a huge comeback in the bridal scene and understandably so. The elegant rosy sheen of the ring has become increasingly popular because it complements a variety of skin tones and will allow the diamond’s true luster to sparkle impeccably. Rose gold rings will take on a Victorian era or art deco inspired flair that can turn any diamond into a completely unique piece.
For a more traditional take on diamond engagement rings, we suggest a heart cut diamond. The heart shape not only symbolizes love, but will be professionally and carefully crafted to perfectly add a unique and stunning touch to the body of the ring. In addition to the distinctive style, a heart cut diamond has the potential to increase more in value than other types of diamonds. Why? Well, due to the difficulty of making a heart cut, it is more difficult to find a truly well-cut diamond in this shape.

Taking Care of Your Diamond Jewelry

Easy Tips to Make Your Diamond Jewelry Last
When investing in a piece of high end jewelry, it’s important to know that it requires a certain sense of responsibly. Although diamonds are the hardest substance on earth, they are not in fact indestructible. With this being said, there are dangers when it comes to being negligent with jewelry care. The last thing any jewelry owner wants to see is their precious stones go to waste so it’s crucial to up keep the elegance of your diamond jewelry.
There are a few basics that you should know about cleaning your diamonds. First, you should not aim to wear your jewelry every single day, all day, without any breaks. Like anything we put on our body, eventually it will gather residue from our skin and sweat. And because of it, diamonds should be washed regularly. Whether it be with household window cleaner or basic glass cleaner, it should at least be ammonia-based and be done one to two times a week. Leave it in the solution for a night and afterwards brush off the liquid and loosened dirt gently and let dry.
Another important point to remember is to handle the diamond very sparingly. This means that when it is not being worn, don’t be too hands-y with it. The oil and dirt from human skin can actually alter the piece’s cleanliness and structure. An additional pointer to remember when handling your diamond jewelry after use, is to make sure it has its own designated case, box, or small bag separate from the rest; this not only prevents unwanted scratches or annoying knots and tangles, but to also keep track and make sure it doesn’t get lost. Never leave the pieces by the rim of the sink. Jewelry is small, light, and susceptible to movement and slippery surfaces; it can easily be lost forever this way.
One thing to avoid when working towards taking proper care of your diamonds is any solution that is too harsh and could potentially corrode away the metals. Chlorine and abrasive solutions can also loosen the prongs, disrupt the structure of the metal completely, and discolor the mounting. Another tip for less wear and tear is not to wear the pieces when doing something that requires strenuous use of the hands like going to the gym, cleaning or doing yard work etc. Following these simple care tips will get your precious diamond jewelry sparkling forever.

Designer Jewelry Brands

Make a Fashion Statement with Designer Jewelry
There is a lot to appreciate about owning a piece of high-end jewelry, but not all just revolve around the novelty of strutting the name brands. High-end jewelry has to do with the exquisite craft and the admirable art of jewelry. For this reason, many people restrict their buying to only designer brands. Although it sounds outlandish, consumers now find themselves deviating away from jewelry that is purely for just the current fashion trends and more towards statement pieces. Jewelry that is distributed solely through mass production and aimed towards mass appeal is now facing a direction to basic and generic-looking pieces. Jewelry should not only be expressive, but should also require time and effort to find the right piece. Most designer jewelry brands or designer brand sellers are sure to have options that would fit any posh style, so it’s important to get to know some brands.
Gelin Abaci is a jewelry brand that is most known for their beautiful collections of engagement rings. This brand has represented true passion and talented skill through their pieces. Their pieces have really become true symbols of artistic merit. The 2016 collection of skillfully crafted and cut diamond rings shows off their true artistic flare that can only be properly represented through the display of their decorative and imaginative Tension collection.
Ritani is another designer brand that has often demonstrated their talent and unique workings through their pieces. Ritani jewelry is designed and handcrafted in New York since 1999 and have continuously proven their artistic abilities which has helped establish them as a premium brand amongst consumers. Another aspect that keeps this company apart from others is that their jewelry production is all done in-house. With this, Ritani is sure to have jewelry that is not only made to the finest craftsmanship standards, but also completely unique and exclusive to your liking.
Another brand of designer jewelry is Barkev’s. This designer strives to bring you the sheen and pristine taste, that although most engagement rings have, Barkev’s touch of elegance and beauty to their pieces is what their customers have stayed dedicated too. Their absolutely flawless rose gold engagement pieces not only exemplify this brands artistry and polish but also the sheer craft of jewelry that Barkev’s takes passionately serious.

The Exceptional Gift of Personalized Jewelry

Personalized Jewelry Pieces For That Special Someone
There are few things more pleasing than receiving a fine piece of jewelry from a loved one. But, to look a little closer and see an engraved sentimental message is something much more special. Personalized jewelry is the perfect way to show a special someone that your love for them runs much deeper than a piece of jewelry that may be grazing the hands of someone else. An engraved jewelry pertains specifically to what you want a significant other to feel. Jewelry doesn’t always have to act as a symbol of something especially when the meaning and intent is written right on it or structured in that word or phrase.
Everyone has their favorite type of jewelry. Whether it is necklaces, rings, bracelets, or earrings, there are options that will fit any exact need. Most often when people think of personalized jewelry, nameplates will be the first to pop an image in their head. A nameplate is a plate or sign that displays the name of someone. The metals and the styles of metals can range to personal preference. A set of gold 20MM monogram post & clutch earrings shaped in the form of a special someone’s initial is a perfect gift that will leave a lasting impression on anyone! Personalized earrings can be the ideal sentiment of appreciation for someone. Not only are they fashionable, they are also a discreet way to boast your uniqueness! No one will have anything like it and when it comes to high end jewelry, originality is a very significant factor. If earrings aren’t your thing, there is also the gentle approach of a simple, 20MM white silver chain bracelet that fits three initials, or perhaps a 3 letter meaning (acronym, etc.) Personalized jewelry doesn’t always have to be extravagant or over bearing. With a small, sheen, and feminine accent like this, it is definite that this delicate piece will hold its meaning for a lifetime.

Men’s watches are an excellent gift idea because they can be paired with all kinds of watch bands. Certain bands have varying functions and styles, so it’s important to consider the lifestyle of the man you are purchasing the watch for. Take into mind what kind of activities your loved one does on a daily basis and that will help you to decide on the type of band to get. The most common type of watch band is leather. Leather straps have a more professional look that can be worn casually or formally. Metal bands are the most durable and can withstand outdoor activities more than any other type of band. For the sporty individual, rubber watch bands are a great choice. They add a modern twist to the classic wrist watch and are lightweight and often affordable.
For the more old-fashioned and traditional man, a pocket watch is the best option. Pocket watches have been around since the 16th century and represent a classic style of watch for men. The pocket watch can be made from common metal types, or more fine metals such as silver and gold. Adam’s Jewelers has a very wide selection of men’s pocket watches to choose from with several different styles that your dad is sure to love. Tips for Proper Jewelry Care

Basic Jewelry Care for Long Lasting Luster
Jewelry is a timeless cherished accessory that women all over the world love. Understanding how important the care for your treasured jewelry is can make a world of difference in maintaining the beauty. Adam’s Jewelers is dedicated to carrying jewelry with the best quality that is guaranteed to last for years to come. Although the pieces carried by Adam’s are exquisite, there is proper jewelry care required in order to assure the lasting qualities of your treasures. To keep the beautiful luster and sparkle of your favorite jewelry pieces, follow these few simple jewelry care tips to make sure your precious gems and jewels stay just like new!
In order to keep your jewelry looking its best, there are some simple steps to consider when you wear jewelry and go about living your daily life. Make sure to remove your jewelry when performing manual tasks such as cleaning, cooking, gardening, or other common tasks. Not wearing your precious jewels when doing these tasks prevents any physical damage or exposure to chemicals or cleaning fluids.
Another thing to consider is while applying any makeup; make sure to remove jewelry because cosmetics, hairsprays, perfumes, and lotions often cause a lot of damage to jewelry. Do not wear jewelry in swimming pools or spas because the chlorinated water can react with some metals and cause color changes and even structural damage. Also, before taking a bath or showering, remove your jewelry since soap can cause a film to form which can create a dingy and dull look to your accessories.
Normally when people want to clean something, they use a type of soap or cleaning product. Do not do this on your jewelry! To properly clean your jewelry, first you’ll want to use a polishing cloth specifically for gold or silver. Using a regular tissue or paper towel can cause scratches from the fibers in these items. If the polishing cloth does not bring the shine back to your treasures, you can use a commercial cleaner from your local jeweler or make your own solution at home. You can use rubbing alcohol but avoid bleach at all costs! Bleach will most definitely destroy your gorgeous jewelry.
While storing your jewelry, keep everything in a safe container where your jewelry will not move around. A fabric-lined container would be the best option to keep everything safe and secure.
Adam’s Jewelers takes pride in carrying quality jewelry with a wonderful selection for their customers. They even encourage proper jewelry care in order to maintain the beauty of the jewels they provide. Engagement Ring Cuts and Styles

Engagement Ring Cuts: How to Choose a Diamond
Getting ready to pop the question? Are you nervous about getting the perfect ring? When choosing which ring to present to that special someone, it’s important to consider the cut, style, and shape of the ring that will best suit them and cater to your loved one’s particular taste. Considering the variety of engagement ring cuts and styles will help you decide which one she will absolutely fall in love with.
Engagement rings are available with an array of diamond sizes to suit every budget. Many choose diamonds around one carat, yet a well-cut diamond will sparkle beautifully regardless of the size. Particular styles such as the halo setting allow the diamond to appear larger, while displaying a beautiful ring and also staying budget-friendly.
The cut of a diamond refers not only to the shape of diamond but also to the quality of the cut. For a round radiant diamond, the most important characteristic is the cut. The cut impacts the brilliance, luster, and excellence of the diamond. This is achieved by cutting the stone to mathematically-determined proportions to get as much light as possible reflected out the top of the diamond. Engagement ring cuts are especially essential because if the diamond’s cut is poor, the diamond will look lifeless and dull.
The most popular shape of engagement ring is round, while princess and cushion follow close behind. The round cut is a classic diamond shape that has the most sparkle, but if you’re looking for a more unique and divergent shape there are engagement rings that come in shapes such as radiant, pear, emerald, and heart. These shapes have been seen all around Hollywood and worn from several celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Amal Clooney, and Beyoncé.
If you are on the hunt for a brilliant and unique engagement ring that is sure to wow your significant other, Adam’s Jewelers is your destination for one-of-a kind jewelry and a wide variety of engagement ring cuts and styles. Adam’s has proudly been voted Sacramento’s A-List best jeweler for four years in a row and carries excellent designer brands such as Ritani, Bellari, Barkev, Galatea, and more. Rolex is one of the most premier luxury watch in the market. Everyone knows Rolex. People who don’t know watches know what a Rolex is.
The name of the watch lines in catalogs is often “Rolex Oyster Perpetual ______” or “Rolex ______”; Rolex Oyster and Oyster Perpetual are generic names and not specific product lines, except for the 36mm Oyster Perpetual model. The Air-King is the least expensive Oyster Perpetual watch. The Date is related to the Air-King but adds a date display. Certain models from the Date and Datejust are almost identical, however the Datejust has a 36mm case and a 20mm bracelet compared to the Date’s 34mm case and 19mm bracelet. Modern versions of the Oyster Perpetual Date and Datejust models share Rolex’s 3135 movement, with the most recent change to the 3135 movement being the introduction of Rolex’s “parachrom bleu” hairspring, which provides increased accuracy. As the Date and Datejust share a movement, both have the ability to adjust the date forward one day at a time without adjusting the time; this feature is not confined to the Datejust. The Datejust is available in a wider range of metals and has a greater range of dials available.
Watch Models Rolex Currently Produces
Rolex has produced countless watches over its long history. While some have been discontinued and are now considered vintage and collectible, other modern models are continuously developed and offered to the public.
There are a wide range of Rolex models that are geared towards specific types of wearers. For example, if you enjoy swimming and diving, the Rolex Submariner may be the best option for you. This model is specifically designed to withstand water pressure and remain accurate. If you enjoy racing, the Rolex Daytona is a better option. The Daytona was specifically designed for racing enthusiasts and is even named after one of the most popular annual racing events.

The Beauty of Simple Engagement Rings

Why You Shouldn’t Overlook Simple Engagement Rings
Some of the most beautiful things in life come in small and simple packages. Simple engagement rings can provide the same elegance as an elaborate ring without necessarily detracting from its meaning or diminishing the value. It does not say less of the person giving it, either.
A simple engagement ring can be beautiful and elegant in itself. It speaks of one’s pure intentions. Imagine a beautifully cut diamond in a solitaire setting, or even a sapphire, ruby, or emerald, set in the center of the ring and magnificently held in its place by prongs or even a marvelously crafted bezel. The smooth flow of the metal ring with its sheen naturally flowing and joining with the sparkle of the gemstone produces one magnificent piece of engagement ring. When you look at the stone the focus will be on the gemstone set right in the center of the ring, and this will give you a great feeling. Now imagine if you were wearing this ring every day of your life. Each time you glance at it you will instantly be reminded of the person who gave it to you and the promise that you have made for one another. Simple engagement rings provide a truly profound effect.
Now imagine having so many adornments on your ring that looking at it becomes tiring because your eyes will have to try to focus on the many details of the ring. This can overwhelm the brain and can trigger a flurry of mixed emotions especially if the design of the engagement ring was not carefully planned. Instead of you feeling something very pleasant and very meaningful when you wear the ring, you simply will not want to look at it because of the confusion it gives your brain. There are just too many elements occurring and demanding your attention all at the same time and you will not really be able to fully appreciate the beauty of it all. Of course, there are people who like very lavish, very elaborate, engagement rings. But, if you look at most people, including the members of the social elite and celebrities, many actually prefer the simple rings.
If you are on the hunt for exquisite, simple engagement rings and you are in the Sacramento area then you are in luck because here at Adam’s Jewelers we have a great selection.
